Welcome to my Aladdins cave.

On this web site you will find a lot of the old software I created for use with the old Winpack amateur radio packet program written by the late G4IDE. You will also find some software I have written for the Internet, such as my anti spam program which I wrote when I received lots of spam, my crossword solving utility, and selection of old photographs.

Whenever possible I have also included the source code.

The Graveyard:

This area consists mainly of stuff I have collected using 7plus over a number of years, a lot of it I have not even looked at, but some of the images contained in some of the files are very amusing, everything in this area was transmitted over the old amateur radio packet network and is in no particular order.

The Winpack pages also contain the original graphics library used by my old Cnv2Html software, this was a brilliant idea at the time for sending HTML web style pages over the old packet network which crawled along at really slow speeds. The idea was that every user had a library on their hard drive containing the same set of images, and all that was then transmitted between users was the main text of the message, which then linked into the images already on their hard drive creating a colourful web page.

WinPack Software

Here is some of the WinPack stuff I wrote.

  • Cnv2html the HTML creation system
  • Janitor an idea before it's time
  • List a file viewer
  • PMS yes a pms for a pms
  • REQDIR a HTML directory listing
  • REQFIL a compatible file server

Linux Stuff...

I did at one time many years ago even use Linux for amateur radio packet, and I have included what little I could find of my old Linux stuff on these pages.

Bingo Software...

My most recent attempt at program writing is this little bingo program, it simulates the style of bingo often seen in the large bingo halls allowing you to display the called numbers and checking numbers on an unlimited number of screens around the room, and has been extensively tested in the "Two Seals" bar in Benidorm.
